Frequently Asked Questions.
1. Will I own my own land and house? Land will be subdivided so homes and land can be owned fee simple.
2. Where is the location? The primary location requested by the pioneering group is between Frederick and New Market. However, a total of four sites will be selected and developed over six years from the region within 45 minutes of Frederick City.
3. What is the timeline of events? From the time the group of friends is formed, plan on two years from start of development to occupancy.
4. Will there be any expectations or responsibilities with living within this community? It is anticipated that each group will develop its own themes, for shaping expectations and responsibilities, over the two years from start to occupancy. Therefore, expectations and responsibilities are to be determined. This, however, is when the over arching theme becomes important: "Love you Neighbor as Yourself." Jesus Christ.
5. How much will the house and land cost? The cost to buy a home will be based on Crown Financial mortgage guidelines, recommending that no more than 25% of net income be devoted to the total of principle, interest, and taxes (P.I.T.). In other words, the final turn key price of each home, which includes land, site development, and finishes, will be no more than what can be paid from the buyer's available cash and, if needed, a mortgage (P.I.T.) that uses no more than 25% of their net income.
6. How can I learn more about this? Are there regular meetings? Can I meet the people already signed on? The "Pioneering Families" meet on the first Saturday morning of each month in the home of David & Linda Adams, from 9-10:30am. These "Family Life Workshops" are intended as a great time to meet each other, bring friends, and get questions answered.
